Files and Filenames

A file is a collection of data or information that has a name called a filename.
Almost all information stored in the computer must be a file. There are many different kinds of files. data,text file, program files, directory files and system files.An example of a text file is ms word and notepad. An example of a program file is ms powerpoint. An example of a system file are windows.an example of a directory file is a folder. And an example of a data file is data.
